Description: For people who have just a short time or do not want to make the complete trek, this is a good alternative that allows hiking the last part of the famous Inka Trail to Machu Picchu.
Day 1: The first day we’ll be transferred at 6:00 in the morning from Cusi Wasi to the train station. Then we travel until "km 104" , where we begin a long walk of approximately 5 hours. We walk through the semi-tropical forest towards "Inti Punku" (the door of the sun) where we´ll enjoy the first panoramic view of majestic " Machu Picchu" (old mountain).
From here we descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, a town where it’s possible to visit the thermal baths. We´ll spend the night in a comfortable hostel.
A professional guide and porters attend us; so you´ll only need to take a small backpack with water and personal things during the route. We will have a magnificent view of the Verónica glacier, cross the Vilcanota river and pass waterfalls in a tropical cloud forest.
Day 2: After breakfast we ascend to Machu Picchu with the first bus to enjoy the dawn in this magical place before the arrival of other tourists from Cusco. We will enjoy the tranquility of the lost city of the Incas in a guided tour, after which you may discover the citadel yourself. In the afternoon we´ll descend by bus to Aguas Calientes from which we return to Cusco by train.
