This is an ideal trek for nature-lovers as we walk through impressive mountains in the highland
plateau and enjoy outdoor hot springs as well as amazing sites and traditional villages. In town,
typical textiles lure our taste. And, of course, this trek leads to Machu Picchu.

Day 1. Cusco - Lares - Huacahuasi:
Early morning we head for Lares town by a private bus (5 hours). Indulge yourself in Lares´s hot
springs. After lunch, the trek begins. The area boasts beautiful scenery and nature. In the
afternoon, we reach the community of Huacahuasi, our site to camp.

Day 2. Huacahuasi - Patacancha - Qelcanca:
We resume the trek early towards the community of Patacancha; friendly local people who live of
the land. Along the path we get a chance to see a vast array of native crops and wildlife as well
as lagoons. In the afternoon we arrive at Qelcanca, our next campsite.

Day 3. Qelcanca - Pumamarka - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes:
On the way to the community of Pumamarka, we pass through a couple of small villages and
along the route, there are various Inka monuments to be seen. The last part of this day leads us
to Ollantaytambo where we catch the train to Aguas Calientes. In this town, we relax in the hot
springs and overnight in a comfortable quality hostel.

Day 4. Machu Picchu - Cusco:
After breakfast we ascend to Machu Picchu with the first bus to enjoy the dawn in this magical
place before the arrival of other tourists from Cusco. We will enjoy the tranquility of the lost city
of the Incas in a guided tour, after which you may discover the citadel yourself. In the afternoon
we´ll descend by bus to Aguas Calientes from which we return to Cusco by train.
